Imagine a mobile hospital specialized in heart surgeries that is moving to meet the most isolated and disadvantaged populations to save them. This is the mad challenge that The Heart Fund has set in 2014.
After many missions on the ground, the observation is terrifying: the disease is discovered too late! The disease has already damaged the heart, complications are frequent and surgery is often no longer possible. These are not isolated medical cases but a real public health problem. Indeed, in developing countries, there is often no cardiac surgery center or located in the capital, thousands of kilometers away from certain villages.
The solution: to invent a hospital that moves with the populations. Since team of doctors and engineers have worked on the development of a prototype of The Heart Mobile. The first Heart Mobile will be launched in December 2015 in Côte d'Ivoire in partnership with the Didier Drogba Foundation and will take care of thousands of patients.
